"I am confident that the opening of these consulates will not only strengthen our diplomatic presence in Russia, but also serve as a catalyst for further expansion of trade relations, tourism potential, and cooperation in the fields of economics, science, technology, and culture," said Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar at the ceremony.
During the event, the Minister paid special attention to the strategic importance of Yekaterinburg. He emphasized that the city, which is widely known as Russia's "third capital" due to its strong industrial potential and hosts the INNOPROM, one of Russia's key international industrial forums, will contribute to the development of technological, scientific, economic, and trade cooperation between the two countries.
