Within the framework of the comprehensive business program of the Russia-India Business Forum, held from December 4 to 5, 2025, in New Delhi during the visit of Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin to India, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Alexey Gruzdev addressed the strategic session "Sell in Russia: New Horizons for Indian Business." The event was dedicated to expanding the presence of Indian companies in the Russian market and implementing joint projects.
In his speech, the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia highlighted key sectors with the greatest potential for cooperation with India, including pharmaceuticals, mechanical engineering, the textile industry, and chemical industry. He also elaborated on opportunities for increasing supplies of in-demand Indian products to Russia and the prospects for deepening industrial cooperation between the two countries.
"Another important direction is mutual participation in major international events. I would like to recommend that our Indian partners more actively come to Russia and visit exhibitions such as INNOPROM. This is an excellent opportunity for Indian businesses to demonstrate their potential and establish partnership ties," Alexey Gruzdev emphasized, extending an invitation to Indian manufacturers for active participation.
The importance and potential of cooperation with India were also discussed by leaders of prominent Russian corporations, including Kirill Lipa, CEO of Transmashholding JSC; Vikram Punia, President of Pharmasyntez Group of Companies; Vadim Badekha, CEO of UAC PJSC; Renat Mistakhov, CEO of Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation JSC; and Sergey Gromak, Vice President of AVTOVAZ JSC.
The active interest of Indian businesses in the Russian market is evidenced by the participation of Indian companies in the collective exposition at INNOPROM-2025. The invitation to INNOPROM-2026 is aimed at further strengthening and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
