Modernization of Tram Fleet Agreed Upon at INNOPROM 2024 Underway in Samara

A large-scale modernization of Samara’s tram fleet has begun with the region receiving its first single-section 71-911EM Lvenok tram. The official handover ceremony was attended by the Governor of the Samara Region, Vyacheslav Fedorischev, and the General Director of Transmashholding (TMH), Kirill Lipa.

The program to update electric transport in the Samara Region is being implemented as part of an agreement between the region and TMH, which was signed at the INNOPROM 2024 International Industrial Trade Fair. Under this agreement, the company will modernize transport infrastructure, carry out digitalization, and renew the rolling stock fleet.

In 2025, the delivery of 41 Lvenok trams is planned, with another 30 expected in 2026. The first four trams have already arrived in the city and will be operated by the Tram Transport Management municipal enterprise.

To ensure timely maintenance of the new rolling stock, a Technical Support Center with a spare parts warehouse has been established in Samara, so TMH specialists will be able to quickly replace parts under warranty when necessary.
