First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov, and the Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, held the 5th meeting of the Joint Russia-Qatar Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation. During the meeting, the head of the Russian delegation invited representatives of Qatar to take part in key large-scale exhibition events in Russia, including the 15th INNOPROM International Industrial Trade Fair.
The invitation was extended during a discussion of a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues, which covered trade, investment, finance, sports, transportation, digital technologies, and humanitarian projects.
Special emphasis was placed on industrial cooperation in promising economic sectors such as pharmaceuticals, shipbuilding, power engineering, and renewable energy.
Manturov proposed expanding the supply of Russian agricultural products, including halal goods, with the aim not only of ensuring food security but also of establishing a regional agro-industrial hub in Qatar.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a final protocol was signed, formalizing the agreements reached and confirming both parties' commitment to further deepening cooperation.
