March 13, 2024
The United Arab Emirates will become a partner country for INNOPROM International Industrial Trade Fair that will be held on July 8-11, 2024, in Yekaterinburg. The delegation will be headed by Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Jaber, the UAE’s Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, as well as its Special Representative for Russia.
“In recent years, Russian-Emirati relations have reached an unprecedented high level, with trade and economic cooperation developing rapidly. By the end of 2023, bilateral trade turnover exceeded the $10 billion mark. Joint industrial cooperation projects are being successfully implemented, and there is active dialogue concerning energy, agriculture, and tourism, while humanitarian ties are expanding. The UAE's participation as a partner country of the INNOPROM 2024 Industrial Trade Fair not only confirms the special nature of Russian-Emirati relations, but also gives additional impetus to developing cooperative ties in the most promising economic sectors,” Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, who is also co-chairman of the Intergovernmental Russia-Emirates Commission for Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation, said.

The UAE National Exposition will acquaint INNOPROM participants with promising developments and present priority areas for industrial and economic cooperation. As part of INNOPROM’s business program, a Russia-UAE Strategic Business Forum will also be held. This will be a platform for discussing ongoing joint projects, as well as prospects for expanding cooperation in industry and technology.

The United Arab Emirates is a major global business center with special economic zones that provide favorable conditions for investing, as well as forming international partnerships and developing high-tech projects. Every year, more than 100 IT startups are launched in Dubai alone. This opens up broad prospects for technological cooperation in industries like automation and robotics, digital manufacturing, medical technology and rehabilitation equipment, transport and industrial engineering, and the production of materials and components.

INNOPROM in Ekaterinburg provides a global platform for developing economic relations between key industries and enterprises in different countries. In an area of 50,000m2, it gives manufacturers from more than 60 Russian regions and foreign countries – from the largest multinationals to SMEs – the opportunity to build new production chains, find modes of collaboration, and ensure uninterrupted supply and production cycles. The trade fair is visited annually by more than 46,000 specialists and representatives of industrial enterprises and dealer companies. At the moment, five months before INNOPROM-2024, exhibition area is already 70% booked.

“The United Arab Emirates is a critical international industrial and technological hub, which includes more than 40 free economic zones with 200,000 foreign companies. This country, which has managed to create attractive conditions for investment and cooperation, is also considered a strategic partner by many domestic manufacturers,” Anton Atrashkin, Program Director of the INNOPROM International Industrial Trade Fair, said.

In previous years, Russia's strategic partner countries in key industries have become INNOPROM partners, including China, India, Japan, Korea, Türkiye, Italy, Qazaqstan, and Belarus.
