VIII Russian-Chinese EXPO, Attended by Vladimir Putin, Opens in Harbin

The Expo will run until May 21 concurrently with the 33rd Harbin International Trade and Economic Fair.
The VIII Russian-Chinese Expo, attracting many companies and businesspeople from Russia, will open in Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang Province in northeast China. The organizers of this large-scale event, which will be attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin are the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Economic Development, PRC Ministry of Commerce, the People's Government of Heilongjiang Province, and Business Event international expo operator (a Formica Group company).

The Russian Ministry of Construction, Ministry of East Regions Development, and Ministry of Education and Science, along with the Russian Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology, the Russian Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, Moscow City Hall, the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Russian Export Center (REC), and the Institute of China and Modern Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences, also contributed to the preparation of the exhibition. The Expo will run until May 21 concurrently with the 33rd Harbin International Trade and Economic Fair at the shared venue of the local international conference and expo center.

The Harbin Expo organizers expect over 5,000 professional buyers and approximately 120 delegations from 44 countries and regions. The entire expo area spans 388,000 square meters, with over 5,000 products showcased. This event is listed among the major events in China to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Russian-Chinese diplomatic relations.
