The agreement on plans to construct the plant was signed by the Head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, and the Russian Minister of Industry, Anton Alikhanov, during the international industrial exhibition INNOPROM-2024, held in Yekaterinburg.
In November, a delegation from Tatarstan, led by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic, Dmitry Guskov, paid a working visit to Kunming, China. The purpose of the visit was to study the principles and operational foundations of yellow phosphorus production. The Chinese plant may serve as a prototype for the facility planned in Tatarstan.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, this plant will be the first of its kind in Russia. Its projected capacity is 50,000 tons of yellow phosphorus per year, with potential expansion to 100,000 tons. The plant’s output is expected to serve agriculture, the food industry, and the metallurgical sector.
