On July 9, in accordance with the program of the visit to the Russian Federation, Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited the INNOPROM 2024 industrial products exhibition in Yekaterinburg.
For reference: The exhibition area of INNOPROM 2024 was 50,000 sq.m. The exhibition presents products from China, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, Belarus and other countries. The exhibition program included more than 100 round tables and panel sessions on various topics related to the development of industry and investment, trade relations, energy and other relevant topics on the agenda.
The key event of the exhibition was the panel session "Horizon 2035: SCO – the axis of the global economy", at which the speakers were Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Anton Alikhanov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Daniyar Amangeldiev, Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kanat Sharlapaev, Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Alexander Rogozhnik, Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus, Sherali Kabir,Sherali Kabir, Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan Sohail Khan, Deputy Secretary General of the SCO.
In his speech, Laziz Kudratov emphasized the constructiveness of Uzbekistan's proposal to create a cooperation program for a new economic dialogue, providing for the introduction of mechanisms for encouraging and mutual protection of investments in the space of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), as well as financing mechanisms for the development of project activities and industrial cooperation.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, meetings were held with the heads of a number of ministries, regions and companies of the Russian Federation.
Thus, during negotiations with Anton Alikhanov, newly appointed Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the parties discussed in detail the implementation of existing agreements and developed specific plans for the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
In general, the events held during the visit, as well as meetings and negotiations, clearly demonstrated the positive attitude and willingness of the parties to deepen trade, economic and investment cooperation, continue comprehensive joint work on the implementation of new promising projects and initiatives.
