Goar Barseghyan, Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture of the Eurasian Economic Commission, took part in the visit and activities of the INNOPROM International Industrial Exhibition in Ekaterinburg, including the main strategic session “Technological Leadership: Industrial Breakthrough”.
At the business breakfast involving Anton Alikhanov, Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, and heads of major industrial companies Goar Barseghyan noted: “The concerted efforts of the business community of the Eurasian Economic Union countries plays a key role. Consumer orientation and the ability to take prompt action to market changes help the business community to solve large-scale tasks within the EAEU. The Commission works consistently to create an environment in which entrepreneurs can better unlock their potential”.
The meeting of Industry Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries discussed the prospects for further joint work in the Eurasian space.
“The Commission consistently advocates deepening of industrial cooperation, technological exchange and formation of efficient integration ties. We are interested in promoting sector-specific initiatives, implementing joint projects and sharing technological experience with the SCO countries,” Goar Barseghyan emphasized.
She also held working meetings with Andrei Kuznetsov, Industry Minister of Belarus, on implementing the financial support mechanism in the EAEU and joint projects.
Besides, as part of INNOPROM events, Goar Barseghyan visited Energo-Arsenal, a plant manufacturing lighting poles and lamps. The enterprise is one of the potential participants of the supranational program to support the Union cooperative projects launched in 2024.
INNOPROM will continue its work in Minsk from September 29, 2025 to October 1, 2025. A meeting of the EAEU Industrial Policy Council will be held there as well.
