The Russian Be-200 amphibious aircraft has generated significant interest from foreign customers. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov, during a working trip to the Beriev Aircraft Company in Taganrog.

"Currently, the company is working on re-engining the Be-200. We are funding R&D this year and will continue in the next. We hope to complete this work in 2027," according to a publication on the Ministry of Industry and Trade website. According to Alikhanov, with a positive result of the R&D, serial production is planned to begin in 2028.

This aircraft model was inspected by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at the aviation block of the INNOPROM International Industrial Exhibition in Yekaterinburg. Also, according to the Minister, an all-composite four-seat aircraft for pilot training and tourist flights with a domestic engine developed in 2024 was presented at INNOPROM.
