THE Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than left Yangon for the Russian Federation by air on 6 July to attend the 14th Industrial Trade Expo (INNOPROM) which is held in Yekaterinburg, Russia, from 8 to 10 July.
During the visit, the Union minister and party have met the Russian minister for Industry and Trade, the Deputy Governor of Sverdlovsk Province, the Director General of Tyazhpromexport Co Ltd (TPE) separately to discuss matters pertaining to steel production, Myanmar’s No 2 Steel Plant (Pangpet) project activities. They also observed and studied steel production and pharmaceutical production activities, attended the opening ceremony of the industrial trade fair, viewed and study the exhibits, and participated in discussions related to the industrial trade fair.
More than 600 companies, including the Russian Federation State-owned Corporation Rostec, KAMZ JSC, GAZ Group, AVTOVAZ JSC, Russian Stateowned Corporation Roscosmos, Concern
VKO Almaz-Antei JSC, Russian State-owned Corporation Rosatom, Transmashholding JSC, Kaspersky Laboratory JSC, Severstal PJSC, and Rosseti PJSC, participated in the exhibition.
