The participation of the UAE in INNOPROM-2024 will allow the Urals to enter the Persian Gulf markets

The President of the Urals Chamber of Commerce and Industry noted that the chemical industry, IT and mining are also among the promising areas for cooperation.
The participation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the INNOPROM-2024 International Industrial Exhibition will allow the Sverdlovsk Region to reach the markets of the Persian Gulf countries by establishing cooperation in the sale of metallurgy, mechanical engineering and other products, believes Andrey Besedin, President of the Urals Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
“We expect <...> maybe even a higher results [this year from the cooperation between the region and the partner country of the exhibition]. <...> The UAE is <...> such a financial, commercial, logistical hub for the countries in that region [the Persian Gulf], and we understand very well that through building multi-lane relations, <...> we reach a completely different region in terms of area, so this is a big triumph. <...> We have something to offer [the UAE]: first of all, this is metallurgy and mechanical engineering,” Mr. Besedin said, emphasizing that it is the first time the region has ‘switched on such a high gear’ in its relations with the UAE.
He added that promising areas of cooperation include the chemical industry, in particular the pharmaceutical industry, IT, mining, equipment engineering for gas and petrochemicals and power engineering.
The UAE will act as a partner country of the INNOPROM-2024 exhibition, which will be held in Ekaterinburg on July 8-11.
INNOPROM is one of the largest industrial exhibitions in Russia and the EAEU. It has been held annually in Ekaterinburg since 2010. The organizers of the exhibitions in Russia are the Government of the Sverdlovsk region and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. In previous years, China, India, Japan, Korea, Turkey, Italy, Kazakhstan, Belarus were partners of the exhibition.
