The Sverdlovsk region noted the development of cooperation with the UAE at the end of INNOPROM-2024

On December 2, the Ekaterinburg Arena and the Yeltsin Center were illuminated in the colors of the United Arab Emirates' national flag. This vibrant display marked the Urals’ capital’s tribute to the UAE, honoring its partner country on this significant day, as reported by the Ministry of International and Foreign Economic Relations of the Sverdlovsk Region.

"Over the past year, direct contacts have been established not only at the official level but also within the business community, facilitated in no small part by INNOPROM 2024, where the UAE served as the partner country. Today, the Sverdlovsk Region is actively collaborating with the Emirates in various fields, including industry, inclusive technologies, education, the development of joint master's programs, as well as tourism, sports, and adaptive physical education. We aim to broaden this cooperation across other sectors," said Vyacheslav Yarin, Minister of International and Foreign Economic Relations of the Sverdlovsk Region.

The UAE was founded in 1971 following an agreement signed by its rulers to unify and create a single state. Initially composed of six emirates, the country expanded to include Ras al-Khaimah on February 10, 1972.

In May, a UAE delegation led by Secretary General Abdullah Al Humaidan participated in the International Exhibition Forum of Social Technologies ‘SOCIO’ in Ekaterinburg. Earlier in the year, the UAE also served as the partner country for the INNOPROM International Industrial Trade Fair in Ekaterinburg.

Additionally, ‘Oblastnaya Gazeta’ reported that the Sverdlovsk Region's expertise in rehabilitation and habilitation was showcased at a global congress in the UAE, further highlighting the robust ties between the region and the Emirates.
