At his Rome work meeting with the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, Prime Minister of Italy Giuseppe Conte confirmed that the Italian Republic would become the Partner Country of the Eleventh International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM in 2020. “I believe that our combined efforts will bring cooperation between Russia and Italy to a qualitatively new level which will incorporate the interests of both countries and conform to modern trends in global economic relations,” head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia stated.
Approximately 500 companies with Italian participation are currently working in Russia. Italy sees Russia as a long-time and reliable partner and is interested in further development of trade, economic, and industrial relations.
“In our opinion, this attests to the strength of our relationship,” Giuseppe Conte said at the opening of the Forum of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses of Russia and Italy.
International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM has been held annually in Ekaterinburg since 2010. In 2012, the Government of the Russian Federation conferred the federal status upon INNOPROM as Russia’s main industrial, trade, and export site. More than 600 companies from 107 countries participated in INNOPROM-2018. During 4 exhibition days, the trade fair attracted over 46,000 visitors. 2018 marked record professional attendance at 76% of all visitors. Global industrial leaders regularly participate in INNOPROM. In 2018, 9 countries presented their national exhibits: Belarus, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Slovakia, Switzerland, and South Korea in the capacity of the Partner Country.
