This year will mark Austria's first-time participation in INNOPROM in the National Stand format. The Republic of Austria intends to showcase 2 organizations and 3 companies. The Stand will be located in Pavilion 2 as part of INNOPROM.METALWORKING exhibition.
The Foreign Trade Promotion Department of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (Advantage Austria) will take part in INNOPROM. The organization comprises approximately 100 offices in more than 70 countries. Its main objective is to help national companies locate importers, distributors, and sales representatives.
"Every year we organize around 1,200 events targeting the establishment of business contacts," Advantage Austria shared.
The Association of Metaltechnology Industries will be also featured at the National Stand. The Association is Austria's major employer with approximately 135,000 jobs in the national metalworking industry and production volume of almost €39bn in 2018.
The Republic of Austria accommodates more than 1,200 metalworking enterprises, including mechanical engineering companies, manufacturers of packaged equipment and steel structures, steel and iron works, and foundries.
"The industry, which targets external markets, consists of medium businesses (85% of them family-owned) and accounts for 25% of Austria's total exports," Advantage Austria stated.

Another National Stand participant is Bürkert Austria GmbH, which manufactures automation equipment. The company produces solenoid operated, pneumatic, proportional pressure control and other types of valves; pneumatic distributors; air flow, pressure, and temperature sensors, etc.
The National Stand will also feature GFM GMBH, which specializes in the production of forging machines for alloys and metals, ultrasonic cutting machines, and milling equipment. The company exports more than 95% of its products.
Last but not least, SEAL MAKER Produktions- und Vertriebs GmbH will exhibit its products at INNOPROM. The company manufactures blanks, CNC lathes, and gaskets for a wide range of industries.

The Republic of Austria will not only participate in the exhibition, but also contribute to INNOPROM-2019 business program. On July 8, Day 1 of the Trade Fair, Chairman of the Association of Metaltechnology Industries Austria Christian Knill will speak at the Main Strategic Session.
Russia-Austria Industrial Forum Eco-Friendly Technologies: Shaping the Future will be held on July 9.
"Event speakers include Dr. Richard Schenz, Vice-President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chambers, and Christian Knill, Chairman of the Association of Metaltechnology Industries Austria," Advantage Austria reported.
CEOs of major Austrian companies AVL, Bertsch GmbH, KRAUSECO, EMCO, and RÖHREN- und Pumpenwerk BAUER will also speak at the Forum.

According the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, in 2018 bilateral trade turnover increased dramatically by 42.7% YOY and was estimated at $5.79bn. Russian exports amounted to $3.38bn and exhibited a 79.6% increase compared against 2017 data. Austrian exports constituted $2.41bn (10.8% increase YOY).
Accumulated Russian investment in the Austrian economy exceeds $27bn, and Austrian investment in Russia constitutes approximately $5.5bn.

Austria has invested in more than 1,000 companies in Russia. The two countries plan to implement 28 joint innovative projects valued at €3bn. For example, Austrian concern Gabriel-Chemie intends to launch the production of dyes and plastics additives in the Kaluga Region. Green Source and Core Value are getting ready to open a facility in the Ulyanovsk Region. The plant will manufacture components for solar power stations.
The power industry is a key area for cooperation between the two countries: in 2018, Russia supplied Austria with record volume of natural gas in excess of 12bn cubic meters. Moreover, Gazprom and OMV are implementing a joint project on the exploration of the Yuzhno-Russkoye oil and gas field.
Every year foreign manufacturers participate in INNOPROM in order to establish business cooperation with Russian companies. The Republic of Turkey will serve as Partner Country of Tenth Anniversary INNOPROM. Digital Manufacturing: Integrated Solutions is the main theme of the exhibition and its business program.
