Young Professionals Participating in INNOPROM-2019 and GMIS Discuss the Formation of a New Lifestyle

INNOPROM hosted a panel on the formation of a new lifestyle concept. The discussion brought together young professionals participating in two events: International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM-2019 and Global Manufacturing and Industrialization Summit GMIS-2019.

The idea of organizing this exchange of views belongs to Victoria Soboleva, Director of the International Festival of Children’s and Young Adults' Creative Work in Science and Technology "Let's Get Going!" ("Ot Vinta!" in Russian). The Festival is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), INNOPROM and GMIS organizers, and representatives of the Ural Federal University named after B.N. Yeltsin supported Soboleva's initiative.

New Lifestyle: Concept Development was chosen as the theme of the event.  Implementation of modern technologies into industrial production is actively transforming all areas of the economy and public life. Breakthrough technologies are causing major changes in the structure of production: production processes are automated, manual labor is replaced with robots, and renewable energy sources are being used more and more extensively. The scope of ongoing changes is so vast that old behavioral models and objectives no longer apply, hence the need to create the model of a new lifestyle. The young generation must decide for itself what lifestyle it is going to choose.

Event participants included Deputy Minister of Industry and Science of the Sverdlovsk Region Victoria Kazakova, Deputy Head of Strategic Development and Project Management Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Alexey Matushansky, Director of the UNIDO Center for International Industrial Cooperation in the Russian Federation Sergey Korotkov, Head of Investment and Technology Promotion Offices (ITPOs) Tokyo Yuko Yasunaga,  UNIDO National Project Associate Svetlana Erkenova, Vice-President of АВВ Russia, Belarus and Central Asia Michael Akim, Deputy Director for the Development of Educational Programs and Social Partnership of the Ural Federal University Alexander Palkin, Director of the International Festival of Children’s and Young Adults' Creative Work in Science and Technology "Let's Get Going!" Victoria Soboleva, representatives of the Turkish delegation, and other experts.
