The Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin declared the need to ensure mutual access to high-tech across the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
"We attach great importance to digitalizing various economic sectors. There is a need to ensure mutual access to high-tech and make use of advanced security models within the SCO digital space," he said while addressing the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization participating countries.
According to Mr Mishustin, the association's States are facing the task to achieve technological sovereignty, therefore it is important to use extensive opportunities for strengthening industrial cooperation.
"We are ready to move forward together, as evidenced by the outcomes of side events held at INNOPROM International Trade Fair in July in Ekaterinburg. Those have been arranged by the SCO Secretariat and Business Council," the Russian Prime Minister said.
He has mentioned that the issue of holding a series of roundtables on implementing the national industrial policies, applying electronic platforms, industrial innovations and new materials, and standardizing IT solutions is now being considered.
"We count on the participation of all partners involved," stressed Mr Mishustin.
The Head of the Russian Government has also proposed, as one of practical steps, to accelerate the adoption and fulfilment of the roadmap on implementing the SCO Member States' AI cooperation program
